Bridging the Gap is a dynamic 40-hour professional development program designed to help bilingual individuals shine as medical interpreters. Whether you're just getting started or already have experience under your belt, this training equips you with the skills to succeed in the field. The best part? It’s recognized by both the Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters (CCHI) and the National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters (NBCMI)—so you know you’re getting top-tier education. Gain the skills and knowledge needed to confidently work as a medical interpreter. This comprehensive course blends lectures, real-world case studies, group discussions, and hands-on role play. Upon successful completion of the course and final exam (minimum 70% score), you'll earn an individually numbered certificate that is nationally respected and never expires. It is recognized by employers across the U.S. All participants receive essential course materials, including the Bridging the Gap textbook, a bilingual medical glossary, and a Guide to Common Medications. ***IMPORTANT*** You must apply for the course, take the Language Proficiency Assessment (If you do not have proof of proficiency) and be admitted prior to registering and paying for the course. UPCOMMING SESSIONS
CANCELLATION POLICY
Unless a class is canceled by the instructor, the following refund policy will apply: Up to 2 weeks before class starts: 80% Up to 1 week before class starts: 50% However, if a course applicant becomes unable to attend a course they had registered for, the payment can be held for one calendar year from the start date of the original course they registered for. An application may be transferred one time if an applicant becomes unable to attend a course. Transferred applications are not applicable for refunds. The instructor reserves the right to remove any participant who interferes with or causes disruption in the learning environment. Refunds will not be issued to participants who are removed.
